Google Search Appliance Web Single Sign-on Integration
Cafésoft Cams
easily integrates with the Google Search Appliance (GSA) to provide
web single sign-on and secure search results across public and private
intranet content. Cams is readily downloaded, deployed and configured
for the GSA, and priced and implemented at a fraction of the cost
of competitive solutions. In addition, Cafésoft assists customers
with GSA security requirements analysis, security design strategy
and integration services.
The diagram below shows a conceptual example of a Cams deployment
using one Cams policy server and three Cams web agents in Apache,
IIS and J2EE web and application servers. The Google Search Appliance
can crawl and securely serve public and private content on any of
the web servers protected by Cams. Any number of Cams policy servers
and web agents can be deployed to scale from small to large enterprise
sites with secure search across all web and application servers.

Cams is certified by Cafésoft to integrate quickly and securely
with the GSA. Customers can configure Cams to be the external authentication
server for the GSA or to use GSA impersonation for authentication.
By configuring the GSA to crawl using forms authentication, search
access control is automatically enabled for content protected by
Cams. Users only see search results for content they are authorized
to access. Cafésoft also provides professional
integration and support services and can design and implement
custom solutions as required using published GSA APIs.
